Clavelinage 2017

The supreme accolade for our subsidiary La Maison du Vigneron and all the team. Clavelinage 2017 was awarded to three of our Vins Jaunes and an enthusiastic article dedicated to these wines was published in the newspaper Voix du Jura.

Excerpt from La Voix du Jura: "It was time to celebrate all round at La Maison du Vigneron - Domaine Savagny. Especially as the 2010 vintage is a double first for the business which not only presented its very first Château-Chalon vin jaune, but also its first vins jaunes matured in a new, totally dedicated maturation cellar (...)".

As Benjamin Le Berre, the estate’s Operations Manager explains, “Once the wine is placed in the cellar, it can’t be left to its own devices. There’s a tremendous amount of work to do and painstaking monitoring is behind the immense success of our cellars (...)".

For information: Clavelinage is an official annual contest for Vins Jaunes produced in the Jura region. Each year when the vintage is ready to be launched on the market, the contest is organised to celebrate the best Vins Jaunes of the Côtes du Jura, Arbois, Etoile and Chateau Châlon appellations through blind tasting.
